1. ONE Keyword for each page
Keep it simple and optimise each webpage with one primary keyword. You could include a couple of secondary keywords that might be extensions of the primary keyword. However, trying to incorporate too many keywords into one page diffuses the results.
2. Strategic use of the Keyword.
There are a few prominent places to position your keyword so they’re recognised by the search engines. These locations include:
- Your headline,
- Any headings or subheadings in your content,
- And the first and last paragraph of your content.
3. Let your words flow naturally.
Many people writing webpage copy for the first time are tempted to place keywords in every single sentence or overcrowd content with keywords. This only creates a page that appears totally unnatural and is extremely difficult to read. Instead, write your content and then go back and position your keywords using the strategy outlined above. Make sure to sprinkle other relevant words throughout your content as well.
For example, if you’re writing about tourism, you can also use the words accommodation, travel and holiday.
Having a keyword strategy for each page of content you write and following these tips will go a long way toward helping your webpage reach the search engine results you desire. The Number One rule however is write quality and well focused content for your audience first and the search engines second.
Until next time…..
