Barossa Farmers Market
Background
The Barossa Farmers Market was formed in 2002 to offer local food producers and farmers a place to sell their goods.
The consumer is able to do their weekly grocery shopping regardless of the weather and safe in the knowledge that the produce will always be fresh, healthy and part of a fair exchange between consumer and producer.
For 15 years, the Barossa Farmers Market has been supporting the local farming community and has become a weekly tradition for locals and a must visit destination for any food loving travellers visiting the region.

The Website
In 2018, the internet whether that be via social media, online advertising or SEO, is the first encounter most people will have with a brand.
Even though the Barossa Farmers Market is a Saturday morning tradition for locals, it also is a part of the wider food tourism offerings in the Barossa. Therefore, their website needed an update as it had become the hub of their online marketing activities.
The brief included easy to update pages in-house such as the This Week page which lists the producers attending the upcoming Saturday market. Another requirement in the brief was to ensure easy ability to join the weekly newsletter and members to make their yearly Membership payments securely via the website. So integration with their Email Service Provider and Accounting System was included in the build.
The mega menu ensures access to information and extra resources pages can be updated and grow content as required. The website was released in October 2017, just prior to the Barossa Farmers Markets 15th anniversary celebrations.
